Asset Overview
Carved wooden pew end, in St.Bartholomew's Church, Crewkerne, Somerset, UK. This shows a serpent at the foot of a tree -- but instead of an apple tree, there are vine leaves and stylised bunches of grapes. I presume this is the work of Francis Nicholls, whose likeness is carved into another pew end with an inscription "Emigravit Aug 17 1900. 'Si quœris monumentum circumspice'". Model created in Meshroom and tidied in Meshlab from photos taken on 30 December 2019.
