Asset Overview

A nearly 200-year-old champagne cork from the renowned French champagne house Veuve Cliquot. The cork has been in one of the champagne bottles that were salvaged in 2010 from a galleass that sank sometime during the 1830s in Ålands archipelago in Finland. Amongst the salvaged bottles was some still-drinkable champagne, which is the oldest in the world.
