Asset Overview

**Combination padlock** A combination padlock, an armoured snuffbox, also called a letter-gate padlock, a trick padlock or an artificial padlock. In order to open it, one has to know the right code, which –  after setting the combination lock – enables one to uncover the keyhole. After this, the padlock can be opened with a key. The padlock was made in 1918, the year of the regaining of independence by Poland. Decorations in the form of national symbols, such as the crowned eagle, are typical of products of the post-WWI era. **For more images and further information, visit:** https://muzea.malopolska.pl/en/objects-list/91 Inventory number: M-K/20 Localisation of the physical object: Marcin Mikuła Locksmithing Museum in Świątniki Górne, Poland **Digitalisation: Regional Digitalisation Lab, Małopolska Institute of Culture in Kraków, Poland; “Virtual Museums of Małopolska” Project**
