Asset Overview
This is a representation of a conical cup created by experimental archaeologist Dr. Caroline Jeffra. It is wheel-coiled, built as a coiled rough-out and finished on the wheel.
Technical details
The 3D model was created with the David SLS-3 scanner, operated by Loes Opgenhaffen. The original file size is 1.82GB, has a resolution of 0.0848mm (vertex spacing) and contains 8556554 vertices. To be able to make a printable model that still shows the relevant traces, it was decimated to 133698 vertices (43MB). In this case, only focus was placed on the exterior of the cup, leaving misalignment traces caused during post-processing on the interior.
