Asset Overview

Culture: [Tudor](http://n2t.net/ark:/99152/p0kh9ds7jvs). Material: Earthenware. Accession No: CG 027. Current Location: [The Hunt Museum](https://www.huntmuseum.com/), [Limerick](https://www.geonames.org/7778675/limerick-city.html). A small earthenware pot, its upper section partially covered in mottled green glaze. The pot has a deep small foot and wide irregular spherical body. The neck narrows and the lip is wide. This is possibly Tudor Green Ware with a label noting Vandon Street, London. It is unclear if this refers to a findspot. The pot is English made but is a copy of typical French ware. The small jar may have contained cosmetics or ointments. [More](https://www.huntmuseum.com/explore/item/fe3a1591-2ac7-39f4-9bf8-762b9de28410/?s%3DCG+027&pos=1).
