CovidMute Final (Mk. 7 v2)

This is a 3D printable cup mute for trumpet that works with Covid-19 bell covers. It clips on to the outside of the bell instead of entering the bell and using friction to stick, as normal cup mutes do. This file is my 9th iteration of the product, and the one I'm distributing to the trumpet sections I'm in. It prints with NO SUPPORTS and fits fine on my Prusa Mini+. I've been printing it with .2mm layer height, black Hatchbox PLA, and aligned retractions (a seam). It is about a 7 hour print on my machine. In postprocessing, I sand only the brim of the mute, because it comes out a little rough. The mute sounds pretty similar to a real cup mute overall. If you use it without a bell cover, there are some pitch issues around E's and F's (concert D's and Eb's), but these issues are minimal when wearing a bell cover. Happy printing and playing!
