Asset Overview
This was found on an outcrop near the Necropole da Pedreirinha rock-cut tombs near Vale Fuzeiros, Algarve, Portugal. The two tombs are of Visigoth age (C5-6th) but the cup marks are likely to be far older & possibly contemporary with the nearby standing stone alignment, Os Menhirs dos Vilarinhos.
There is one prominent larger bowl-like cup mark and a second one on the topmost lip of the rock.
