Asset Overview
This plate belongs to the collection of Nederlands Mijnmuseum in Heerlen. It comes from the K.V.M. Katholieke Vereniging van Mijnbeambten (Catholic Association of Mine Office Workers). It was a trade union, which, unlike the Nederlands Katholieke Mijnwerkers Bond (Dutch Catholic Miners' Association), was only intended for miners working outside - that is supervisors and managers. K.V.M. did not accept ordinary miners as members. This wall plate was probably created for a 25-year anniversary of the union.
