Asset Overview

Off a busy highway exit ramp, the old Druid Lake valve vault entrance can be seen embedded in the hillside. In 1871, Druid Lake became the first large-scale earthen dam in the United States. It was a feat accomplished by steam-powered excavators, which had to move over 500,000 cubic yards of ground to build the reservoir. Today, the reservoir tanks are being renovated to improve the quality of the water it provides to the surrounding community. Created with 400 images taken with a DJI Mavic Mini and processed in RealityCapture.
