Created after an illustration introducing the «P: RECURVATE WAVE» chapter from the «[Chinese Lattice Designs](https://store.doverpublications.com/0486230961.html)»
reference book by Daniel Sheets Dye (p. [232](https://books.google.fr/books?id=SsZLhrgEwUwC&pg=PA232)).
Caption from the author p. 25:
> *P. Recurvate Wave* or Broken Wave.
> This is really the so-called Wall of Troy design, but it is a wave where the crest bends back upon the wave. The central, endless line which is often used as a border is compressed to its lowest limits so as to serve as a central ornament.
