Asset Overview

The Durupinar Site is a proposed location for the resting place of Noah's Ark. Popularized by explorer and amateur archaeologist, Ron Wyatt, the majority of geologsts and archaeologsts—even those in the christian and creationist community—do not hold the theory of Wyatt to be accurate regarding this location. A number of visits and studies by trained scientists have been conducted by those independent of Wyatt, concluding this is nothing more than a geologic feature known as an igneous dike. Initial claims by Wyatt and his team have failed to be repoduced and remain unsubstantiated. Despite the unverified hypothesis, this location is still in the top 3 locations worldwide for those searching for the remains of Noah's Ark as detailed in the Bible's book of Genesis. -Nate Loper
