It has a flared rim, stepped base and may have been lidded. Travertine is found in small deposits across the [Nile](https://www.geonames.org/351036/nile-river.html) valley and in the [Early Period](http://n2t.net/ark:/99152/p03wskdzc7b) was used in pavements and wall linings of temple passages.
