Orange the unaffected gene Blue the affected gene Both parents must pass on an affected gene for a chance of getting albinism in this case. That’s what you call it recessive inheritance. Both parents are carrier of the albinism gene. In this case they have 4 children. Two children are carrier of the albinism gene. One child is not affected by albinism. (The child does not have albinism and is not a carrier of the albinism gene). And one child does have albinism.
