Asset Overview

A parabolahedron is a projection of a flat hexagonal honeycomb grid onto a paraboloid. This model can be created and extended indefinitely with standard blue and yellow zometool struts. Symmetrical variants using green and yellow struts are also possible with standard zometool struts. Asymmetrical variants can also be developed using many different standard zometool struts. This model is a face first projection. Edge first and vertex first projections can also be made with standard [zometool](http://zometool.com) struts. This particular model uses 258 balls, 132 blue struts and 162 yellow struts. The convex hull of this shape consists of affine hexagonal facets covered by a translucent skin which allows the internal structure to be seen. This model was developed with [vZome](http://vzome.com).
