Farin's turn
Was given its name in 1949, when Brno held the first and last race of F1 in the territory of Czechoslovakia.
After the start of the race, the Siamese (today's Thailand) Prince Bira led Maserati, followed by Italian Farina, and Maserati.
In this left-hand corner, Farina attempted to overtake Biru in the first round, but his maneuver was skewed, the car left the track and entered the audience. Twelve people were injured, of whom two young men died. Giuseppe Farina was slightly injured.
