This fragment is part of an medieval window frame from Flood St. The carving shows a dragon with a womans head speared on its tail (you can see the end of the tail exit the mouth). A sleeping dog is shown in the middle followed by the creat of the martain family.
The Carving shows significant weathering with spalling and cracks across the face of the stone. There are spots of lichen growth collecting around the carvings.
Thee areas of paint on the bottom side of the carving, may be historical, although it has been noted that these carving were painted over in the more recent past. The paint chips which were noted include a dark green, blue and red. There is one area where paint has dripped onto the carving from a modern source.
