Asset Overview

Bronze gladiator's helmet. It has a grille of linked circles to protect the face, and a broad brim to protect the back and sides of the head. At the front of the helmet is a medallion of Hercules. Said to have been found in the gladiators' barracks at Pompeii. 48.26 centimetres high. Produced from 140 photographs taken by Professor Eric Poehler, UMass Amherst. The helmet was photographed on a workbench, without lights and no access to the interior. It is therefore not top quality, but is useful for visualisation. Model created by Daniel Pett, work needed in Blender to make this a better model (to be done at a later date.)
