Glass bead - Glaspärla

Glass bead from the late iron age (Viking age). The bead was found in a grave together with many other colorful patterned beads. The bead has lost its luster and shine since it was on the funeral pyre when the dead was cremated together with their belongings and other grave goods. Size: diameter 0,9 cm x 0,8 cm (ID ÅM 345:6) Glaspärla från yngre järnåldern (vikingatid). Det "smutsiga" som tydligt synd i de gula delarna är aska från kremeringen av den döda.
