Asset Overview

A surviving stone pillar of the original Brunel viaduct over the Glaze Brook, near South Brent, Devon, England. This section of railway (designed by the engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806 – 1859)) between Totnes and Plymouth was completed in 1848 and required several viaducts to cross the river valleys of South Devon. This is the pillar closest to and on the west bank of the Glaze Brook and is one of several in the valley. The viaduct is now replaced by a newer one to the north and the these ivy covered pillars are all that remain of the original. 327 photos taken in April 2022 with a Dji Mini 2 and processed in Reality Capture.
