Govan011

Govan 11 ([Stirling Maxwell's numbering](https://archive.org/details/sculpturedstone00maxwgoog); ECMS 9) is one of 31 early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally recorded at Govan Old in 1899. This is currently displayed upright and against the wall, but these monuments would have originally laid flat in the churchyard, likely marking the grave of a significant early medieval individual. This monument is fragmented and was reused. The lower part of the monument was likely lost after 1856, as recorded in the [Sculptured Stones of Scotland](https://archive.org/details/sculpturedstones01stua/page/n363/mode/2up?q=CXXXV). This 3D model was created as part of Dr Megan Kasten’s PhD, available here: http://theses.gla.ac.uk/74266/. The 3D model was created with SfM photogrammetry, using Agisoft Metashape, and edited with Zbrush.
