Asset Overview
Govan 20 ([Stirling Maxwell’s numbering](https://archive.org/details/sculpturedstone00maxwgoog/page/n38/mode/2up); ECMS 8) is one of 31 early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally recorded at Govan Old in 1899. These monuments would have originally laid flat in the churchyard, likely marking the grave of a significant early medieval individual. The stone is similar in design to [Govan 13](https://skfb.ly/6YINB).
