Asset Overview
Govan 31 ([Stirling Maxwell’s numbering](https://archive.org/details/sculpturedstone00maxwgoog/page/n50/mode/2up); ECMS 16) is one of 31 early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally recorded at Govan Old in 1899. These monuments would have originally laid flat in the churchyard, likely marking the grave of a significant early medieval individual. Because this stone is significantly eroded, it is one of the stones that benefited the most from 3D recording.
