Asset Overview

NJ 05227 63675 A large cup-marked stone was excavated from a souterrain at Grantown Road, Forres (R2) in 2008. It has now been relocated to the Moray Art Centre garden at the the Findhorn Foundation (22/05/2009). This rock 0.8m x 0.5m is situated 3m from the N corner of the Moray Arts Centre building at The Findhorn Foundation, within their garden, where it has been moved from its original location with the souterrain. The cup marks appear to be geological anomalies rather than neolithic/bronze age cup marks. Scrap ID 179 111 images using Canon 7D and 10-18mm EF-S lens.
