The front and back of the chasuble are made of velvet and covered with a pattern of plant motifs. The piping is embroidered with gold thread.
The chasuble is one of only a few historical liturgical vestments that remain in the abbey to this day. Most of the liturgical paraments were removed from the monastery after its dissolution in 1787.
