Asset Overview

This is a Hexagonaria percarinatum that I dug up in Alpena, MI in May of 2021. It is a colonial rugose coral from the Devonian time period, roughly 400 million years old. Its the state stone of Michigan and also known as a Petoskey Stone, once its polished and sold in gift shops. The fossil is about 16cm across at its widest.
