Vincent Ferrer (1350-1419) was a Valencian Dominican friar and itinerant preacher. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. The saint is the patron saint of the cities of Valencia as well as the southern Spanish city of San Vicente del Raspeig. Likewise, he is considered the patron saint of roofers, woodworkers, lead founders and brickmakers.
