Journey of Hope

Since 2002 best sand sculptors in the world create in Jesolo (Venice – Italy) a monumental sand nativity, in the event “ Jesolo Sand Nativity”. Among the sculptures show in 2016/2017 edition, we chose the one called "Journey of Hope". The sand nativity scene this year focuses on the pressing issue of refugees: the great human tragedy that is unfolding in the Mediterranean, defined by Pope Francis as a cemetery in the open. What you can see is a piece of sculpture that has approximately the following dimensions: 3 meters long x 2 meters deep x 2 meters high. To create 3D model we used a Nikon D5000 camera and the 3DF Zephyr Pro software.
