Asset Overview

13th-14th century cross-slab. Upper part of tapering limestone slab (dims. L 0.88m; Wth 0.53-0.66m; T 0.16m), bearing an incised eight-armed fleur-de-lys cross. (Bradley et al. 1986, vol. 2, 104-05) This cross inscribed stone, appears to fit within a collection of stones from this site, and the assocaited friary in Castledermot, based on the Fleur-de-lys symbolism. It is located on the west side of the South High Cross in St James' Graveyard. Survey: [@Dh_Age](https://www.digitalheritageage.com/) Funded: Kildare County Council Community Heritage Grant 2017
