Kildavnet Graveyard Ledger Slab

This ledger slab is a part of the old section of Kildavnet Graveyard on Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland. This stone held no visible inscription before Structure from Motion Photogrammetry was used to attempt to make the writing legible. In doing so, the IHS on top with "GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DIO" written above. From the inscription, the words "The Lord have Mercy on the soul of (Brigid?) Gallagher who Depd this life on the ? of March ? Aged ? yr." On the bottom, it states "Erected by her Affectionate Husband ? Gallagher"
