Kite Shield / Каплевидный Щит

A drop-shaped or almond-shaped shield is a type of shield used in Europe in the 10th-14th centuries. Named for its corresponding shape, in the frontal projection it looked like an inverted drop or almond, with the sharp side pointing down. Каплевидный или миндалевидный щит — тип щита, применявшегося в Европе в X—XIV веках. Назван так за соответствующую форму, во фронтальной проекции напоминал перевёрнутую каплю или миндаль, острой стороной был направлен вниз.
