the light saber light can be animated from the **color ramp** in the shading tab to see the full effect its better to add **glow**
> if **evee** is used make sure to enable **screen space reflections** then switch the **blend mode** to **alpha blend** in the material of the light saber and enable the option under it named **screen space refraction**
