This model is of the interior of the Spanish Civil War period machine gun bunker of Alhama de Murcia, Spain. Although the exact date of construction is unknown it is believed to have been built in 1937. The interior consists of machine gun placements to the left and right of a central room used for storage of ammunition and supplies. This bunker played a role in forming part of the ground defense plan for the naval base in Cartagena, and it is of the best examples of 20th century military architecture in the Murcia Region.
