Winner of three gold and four silver medals in cross-country skiing, Marja-Liisa Kirvesniemi (née) Hämäläinen is the most successful female athlete in Finland’s Olympic history. She took part in six Olympic Winter Games, which is also a Finnish record. This overcoat, designed by Riitta Kuparinen and made by Luhta, was part of Finland’s team uniform at the Olympic Winter Games of 1988 in Calgary.
