Asset Overview
Ashetu, or prestige hat, worn by dignitaries of the Bamun and Bamileke peoples from the Cameroon Grasslands. Created using crocheted cotton with wooden burls intended to reflect the tufted hairstyle worn by elite members of tribes in Cameroon.
