The Mozart Fountain is also called The Magic Flute Fountain and is located on Mozartplatz in the 4th district of Vienna. The fountain was designed by the architect Otto Schönthal, the sculptor Carl Wollek realised the project in 1905. The fountain is intended to commemorate the premiere of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, which took place in 1791 in the Theater auf der Wieden. The bronze figures represent Tamino and Pamina, the main characters of The Magic Flute.
