HUMAN HEAD FIGURINE FROM BUTMIR; Figural sculptures are an especially notable characteristic of the Butmir culture. Figural representations are charecaracterized by pronounced realism and represent a separate and unique feature of Neolithic art generally. 4800 BCE, Butmir, Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina. Data were collected as part of a joint research project between GDH and the Association for the Digitization and Informatisation of Cultural Heritage (DIGI.BA) in Sarajevo, in full collaboration with the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo.
