Asset Overview
**Geologic block model of an angular unconformity with normal faults.**
(16.6cm x 12.6cm)
This block features an angular unconformity that separates thinly bedded strata made out of Baltic birch plywood that are involved in a series of chevron folds (below) from a stratified sequence of Brazilian cherry, purpleheart, maple, English brown oak veneer, maple veneer, and padauk veneer (above). The entire sequence is cut by a series of normal faults and then eroded into dendritic drainage patterns of river-cut, V-shaped valleys. The block also contains some additional geologic puzzles along the unconformity for students to interpret.
