The non-convex pentakis dodecahedron is used to represent the T=3 virus capsid structure [often used by default: The convex pentakis dodecahedron]. It is built from 60 equilateral triangular faces that assemble to 12 pentagonal pyramids. Each pyramid represents a virus capsomere.
