Asset Overview

Gypsum wall panel relief: showing Ashurnasirpal II, originally flanked by other figures, wearing the royal cap with pointed projection and lappets, and a long garment which reaches down to his ankles, with sandals and armlets and bracelets. He holds the staff of royalty in his right hand, and his left rests upon the handle of his sword. In a fold of his garment, a little above the waist, are thrust two daggers.
