Old Gang Smelt Mills (NY97440 00543) These are the remains of the Old Gang lead smelt mill complex. It is on the Meeth Gill, a tributary of the River Swale. The smelt mill complex contains the remains of two surviving mills. One was built in the late 1700s, the other was built in 1846.
