This striking and bulky orange **phone** was mounted to a wall in the mines. This phone was one of the **most advanced** ways of communication back then. The old dialpad as well as the cables and certainly the size of the phone are components of an old phone model. It is manufactared of cast iron and therefore adjusted to the mining environment since it withstands possible gas explosions in the mines.
Due to the orange color it is easy to detect in the rather dark mine.
