Modeled after this lovely image: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/407575835010973708/ After heavy turbosmoothing the topology definitely did get wonky in some places, and the only places I didn't really bother turbosmoothing was the main axe blade itself actually. And the topology on it is weird because I made an intricate spline, beveled it with a modifier so I got a massive ngon and forgot about it until later, and the "turn into poly" modifier in 3dsmax is really garbage at figuring out smart ways of dividing a mesh into quads. Either way, I'm getting better at 3DSMax and I'm happy :)
