**Lepidostrobus sp.**
Part of an ironstone nodule, which has been split open to reveal the fossil of a plant, Lepidostrobus. These fossils are believed to be the fruiting part or cone of the Giant Clubmoss Lepidodendron, which grew during the Carboniferous period.
Age: approx 300 million years.
Length 9cm Width 6cm Depth 3cm.
Imaged using an Artec spider scanner and processed using Artec studio 12.
