This stone is a mystery. Located in a section of wall on Barrack Rd, Castledermot, it appears to be carved but the subject cannot be identified. A suggestion might be that the stone was discarded during carving, or is so weathered that it is no longer identifable.
This wall was built in the early 19th century but the stone occurs approx where it crosses the path of the demolished medieval town wall.
