An argillite Potomac projectile point recovered during the archaeological excavation of precontact period sites along Deep Run in Howard County, Maryland by Richard Stearns and the Natural History Society of Maryland in the 1930s and 1940s. Potomac projectile points are the smallest of the precontact period projectile points in Maryland and date to the Late Woodland period ranging from 1200 to 1700 AD.
