Asset Overview

Priamos robs Achilleus about Hector's body, relief in marble performed in 1868-70 by H.W. Bissen and Vilh. Bissen by original model from 1815. (A775). Thorvaldsen Museum (Copenhagen, Denmark). Made with ReMake and ReCap from AutoDesk. Reliefs, created as a pendant to the relief, this gets his subject from Homers Iliade, also has Achilleus as a protagonist - this time he is not a victim, but clearly master of the situation. During the siege of Troy, the Achilles Patrokles were killed by Hector, the Trojan King Priamo's son. As a vengeance, Achilleus killed Hektor. The relief shows how the old King Priamos kneeled praying Achilleus to show mercy and handing him the body of Hektor's son. For more updates, please follow @GeoffreyMarchal on Twitter.
