Tried to do a planet inspired by saturn a few times before and failed, but with my recent exeperience with displacment/alpha masking i thought to have another bash. This is a artistic representation of a ringed gas giant inspired by saturn, but unlike saturn this one has very thin density rings so the light only catches it when viewing fairly close or at certain angles, these thin rings would not illuminate in the same way saturn's dose when viewed from a distance. I took some intersting stills in the art-station link above.
