Asset Overview
A 3D reconstruction of a metal detecting find of mine. The object is what I believe to be an incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative (dolphin style) roman fibula brooch, commonly dated on Finds.Org as between AD 43 and AD 65. The pin and spring are missing and it is worn (approx 75% remaining) due to almost 2,000 years within the plough soil, however the head, bow and wings remain, with some surface decoration visible. The object is the size of a 2p coin.
Processed in Agisoft Metashape by merging 2 scans of the top and bottom, each with around 35 images each, and merging the two chunks and removing texture noise from the putty used to hold it.
