Boulder in the Rough Castles area SW of Edlingham, Northumberland.
This carved boulder is recorded as ‘Rough Castles 5’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. Stan Beckensall records 2 cups on the upper surface whilst NADRAP add:
“Two cups on top surface, possibly natural. Westernmost cup has sharp edges and easternmost is larger.”
