**Sandstone Effigy Pipe** Sandstone effigy pipe with carved face, possibly depicting an underwater panther or a crouching human. Found by Robert Prospere at the Lookout site in Jefferson County, Mississippi and published by Brown (1985: Fig. 5). This pipe, 7 cm long by 5 cm high, is currently housed in the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard University (cat. no. 980-14-10/58238).
